I loved putting together this premiere for the movie Coherence at Camera 12 downtown San Jose! http://coherencethemovie.com/
We rolled out the red carpet, created a photo backdrop “step and repeat”, and the director James Ward Byrkit and 4 actors flew up from LA to attend the event. A post-party was held at Blackbird Tavern with delicious appetizers and desserts! For more information on the movie or Lynn Osband Events, go to http://www.LynnOsbandEvents.com.
Under the Sea was the theme for my recent event at Shir Hadash. Emily and Rachel Gringorten’s Bnot Mitzvah had bowls of sea rocks, shells and starfish. Balloons looked like swaying underwater reeds and teal and turquoise were the colors for linens, photobooth backdrops and personalized M&Ms. A popcorn machine was the hit of the pre-reception. Check out this cool soccer balloon sculpture by Balloonatics for my client Ben’s Bar Mitzvah. The service was at Shir Hadash and the party was at the Toll House in Los Gatos. JJ the DJ did a great job keeping the kids entertained, the Photobooth by Mementostrip always had a line of kids and the Toll House was professional, organized and served delicious food. Centerpieces sported turf, a soccer guy and the logo of an overseas soccer club. Thank you to photographer Joel Gringorten whose pictures are amazing. Joel even took a photo of Ben with the Torah in the morning, printed it at home, framed it and brought it to the party to be displayed on the sign in table! What a guy!

Hannah’s Bat Mitzvah was full of fun, games and excitement for everyone. It was held at the Redwood City Women’s Club, an old, warm and inviting home with a beautiful courtyard. JJ the DJ led the kids in fun games and engaged all the guests in line and circle dances, the Hora, and a touching closing circle at the end where Hannah was able to go around, hug and thank everyone for coming. They started the evening under the redwood trees in the courtyard with a beautiful havdallah ceremony. Dinner was catered by Catered Too and I can’t say enough about Stephanie, Teri and the staff. Beautiful centerpieces of teal, crystal bling and musical notes on tall stands were done by Balloonatics as was the “Name in Lights.” Photographer was Joel Gringorten and our photobooth was by Mementostrip. The operator was fabulous, always picking up the props and cleaning up the scrapbook table after the guests.

I just went to the NACE event last week, a “Hunger Games Theme” at Catered Too! and my team won although I wasn’t very good at the games – beer, coffee, chocolate tasting – the only one I aced was the chocolate game of course!
Centerpiece Tip: If you put sports balls in the centerpieces, glue them down or secure them in a vase or the kids will start kicking them around. If your take home gift is a ball, give it to the kids as they leave the building to be picked up. For more Tips, go to my website http://www.LynnOsbandEvents.com
Gift Table Tip: To protect Bat/Bat Mitzvah or Wedding gifts from little hands or guests who are a little snoopy, use a decorated envelope box that guests drop their envelope into on the gift table. Then when everyone has arrived, have your event planner collect the gifts and envelopes into a box and hide under the table, in your car or a safe place, don’t keep them out all night.
